Great spot to meet friends, or host an informal meeting to be the most popular boss in the world. Good options to keep you from getting hungry. Happy hour specials as well. Plus - locally owned by a friendly, kind family.
The wine self-serve machines are so fun! It is a great way to taste different wines! In addition to great wines, there are delicious cocktails, mules, and local beers on tap! All of the "snacks" are wonderful as well. We got the salmon plate, the cheese and charcuterie, and cheese and baguette plates and loved them all. Two plates suited us well when we went in as a couple and then three was great for the four of us last night...
No complaints after having visited twice now. The atmosphere is casually yet elegant,while the decor is gorgeous. I love the concept as a whole. I was also surprised and impressed at how fast empty bottles were refilled in the machines, especially with my second visit being very busy at their NYE event!
This place is exactly my style. The wine machine idea is genius. This place is perfect if you want to get a really nice glass of wine. Be aware that it could cost you. There are far cheaper places to drink in Ames, but I haven't found a better wine place than this. I also like that they have some beer and a full bar for my friends who aren't as into wine.
I love this place! Revolving wine "menu", now had a decent scotch menu, it's a fun date spot or to meet up with friends, Wi-Fi, games to play, variety of seating, great ambiance, great music, staff is always nice... My only problem is it's too ready to go through my pre-paid card! Too many different wines to try! I recommend going during happy hour for best prices (5-7 I believe...)
